1. Do you agree with the web site's description? What do you do that can be called "wrapping"? Give examples and reasons for your actions.
I agree with them.
For example, when Japanese give someone present, they order gift-wrapping. Then salesclerk overpack them. But It's very lovely. So Japanese appriciate it very much. Becides there are fenced house. Then when it grows dark, we close the curtains. There are double them. It may surprise foreigner to lern that. But Japanese dislike what look at in their house.
2. a. Where do you go when you die?
I don't know. But it often said that Japanese go to heaven or hell when we die. Truth is heaven knows. I think that we may are born again.
b. Explain why do Japanese have death memorial services 1 month, 1 year, 3 years, 7 years, etc. after a person's death?
Teaching of Buddhism thought that deader come back to this world in these year. We talk about deader's memories while we have a meal. Japanese believe that odd numbers are considered lucky.

I am interested to hear that Japanese non-Christians also believe in heaven and hell. Does Buddhism also teach about this?
Gift-wrapping is usually no charge for wrapping in Japan. I think that is Japanese unique culture!
Very good answers to your questions. But, I thought Japanese close their curtains for privacy because everyone is very nosey.
To answer Gareth's question: Some temples have clear pictures and statues of heaven and especially hell. In Setoda, I remember a really scary series of pictures as you went down further into a cellar. Also, there is a "hell" worship kind of temple near Miyajima on honshu side up the hill facing it. Friends tell me that is is really scary!
Good work Betty Boop!
